Original case follows.

A couple of months have passed since Behetsda announced a postponement for the upcoming shooter Deathloop. Since then, we have heard little about any new launch date, but thanks to PlayStation Store, avid fans may have gotten a little more going on.

According to Sony’s online store Deathloop comes to PlayStation 5 on May 21 next year. This is in line with Bethesda’s statement that the game should be released during the second quarter of 2021, but the developer himself has so far not been out with any more specific plan.

Of course, this may only be a temporary date, which has crept up in connection with an update of the PlayStation Store. Until we get an official confirmation from Bethesda, it’s okay to take the whole thing with a pinch of salt.

Shooting party on Groundhog Day

Deathloop was originally unveiled during last year’s E3 trade fair. Among other things, we learned that the game is about the assassin Colt, who is caught in a kind of endless Groundhog Day cycle on the island of Blackreef. Players must whack different targets to break free, but you can also take on the role of Juliana and invade the game session of other players.

The game is initially only available for PC and PlayStation 5, but is apparently only console-exclusive for a limited period. On the Sony console, Deathloop will use the technology of the DualSense controller to, among other things simulate locking of weapons.
