– There are more and more people currently suffering from covid-19, whose number exceeded four thousand on Tuesday.
– A significant increase in those infected was recorded by Prague hygienists on Tuesday. By Tuesday 18:00, there was an increase of 101 cases of covid-19 in the previous 24 hours, which was the highest daily increase in Prague since the beginning of the epidemic in the Czech Republic. The increase in the number of people infected in recent days in the city is due, among other things, to the outbreak in the night club Techtle Mechtle.
– According to the Ministry, the most serious situation at present is in the Jihlava region, where about 60 cases of the disease per 100,000 inhabitants have been recorded in the last seven days. A high number of new infections was also recorded in the Prachatice region last week, with 49 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In the South Bohemian Region and in the Vysočina Region, due to the spread of the disease, people have to start wearing veils in a number of places from today.
– This evening, the new Government Council for Health Risks will meet for the first time to oversee, among other things, the so-called smart quarantine system. Its establishment was approved by the government only on Monday, it is chaired by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES). The advisory body is also intended to serve threats other than the current coronavirus epidemic, but is currently focusing on completing smart quarantine.
