As of Friday, December 18, a total of 12,195 (+140) Düsseldorf residents had been diagnosed with the coronavirus since March 3. 1,135 (+128) people are currently infected.

203 (-4) of those infected are being treated in hospitals, 42 (+1) of them in intensive care units. 10,944 (+11) people in Düsseldorf have now recovered. 116 (+1) people who were infected with the corona virus and mostly had previous illnesses have died in Düsseldorf so far. 3,843 (+264) people are currently in quarantine at home. According to the available figures, the so-called 7-day incidence in Düsseldorf is currently 129.1 (December 16: 129.4) – this value indicates the number of infections that became known in the last 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants.
Smear numbers
On Thursday, December 17th, 83 smears were taken in the diagnostic practice. A total of 358 smears were taken in the drive-in test center. In addition, there are 146 further cuts made by the mobile service. A total of 88,267 swabs have been made in the two facilities as well as through the mobile service.
