The Cuellarana company Mariano Rico will begin work on the Plaza de la Cruz this month | Radio Segovia | Present

The Cuellarana company Mariano Rico SL has turned out to be the winner of the reform of La Plaza de la Cruz, as announced by the Town Hall of the town through a press release. The improvement works of this plaza located in the El Salvador neighborhood have been awarded for an amount including VAT of 100,188 euros. The Cuellarana company has presented the best offer both economically and in the different improvements over those presented by a total of eighteen companies that participated in the tender. The improvements are the reduction of the award amount by 26,770.39 euros, 36 months of guarantee period from the receipt of the work and the reduction of 45 days of the execution period over the 4 months stipulated by the specifications.

The government team once again expresses its intention to continue making different investments in the rehabilitation of streets and squares, to improve the image of Cuéllar and favor road traffic, as well as accessibility and safety for pedestrians. They consider that municipal investments generate economic activity throughout the municipality, as long as the companies can be local, as in this case, the purchase of construction materials by construction companies in the town and other types of services for the execution of the works .

The government team values ​​the award to this Cuellarana company very positively, for which they thank Mariano Rico SL for the interest in executing this work that will give a new image to this unique square. The total investment will amount to € 111,584, of which € 42,000 will be provided by the Provincial Council under the Municipal Investment Aid Plan (PAIM).

The Plaza de la Cruz has an area of ​​about 1,000 square meters. A rehabilitation of the entire Plaza including the networks and pipes will be undertaken. The sidewalks and the road will become at the same level to improve accessibility, these being cobblestone with curbs to delimit the traffic of vehicles and pedestrians. The road traffic will have an upward direction from Diego Velazquez street and there will be eleven car parks plus another for the disabled, these car parks being delimited by green areas. The works are scheduled to begin this June.
