The CTIA imposed a fine of 1.7 million on AAA Auto and Auto Diskonto

Aures Holdings received fines for half a million and 700,000 crowns, Auto Diskont for half a million crowns. These are the three highest final sanctions in the last two years, the server writes. This year and last year, the CTIA inspected a hundred used cars, and every second broke the law.

“Both companies violated the Consumer Protection Act,” said CTIA spokesman Jiří Fröhlich. The fines were confirmed by the CTIA Central Inspectorate.

“Both companies therefore had to pay the fines, which also happened,” the spokesman added. Aures Holdings then turned to the Regional Court in Brno and Ústí nad Labem, Auto Diskont to the Regional Court in Brno. The courts have not yet ruled.

According to an inspection at the Brno branch, Aures Holdings, for example, presented the car as flawless, but after the inspection, he recommended checking all essential parts of the car. According to the CTIA, the same Brno branch did not correctly inform about the final price of the vehicle before the purchase negotiations and demanded additional fees. Inspectors also found mistakes in the Teplice branch, which, for example, made it impossible to buy a car without purchasing additional services for 22 thousand crowns.

The CTIA imposed a fine on the Diskonto Auto for promising to transfer the car to its other branch free of charge, while charging a two thousandth deposit for the service. According to the inspection, the company also did not correctly inform about the final price of the car.

Aures Holdings went to court because it did not agree with the fines. “We will not comment further on the ongoing court proceedings because they have not been finalized,” he said E15.cz company spokesman Michal Häckl. Auto Discount did not respond to server queries.

Aures Holdings recently received a fine of CZK 300,000 from the Czech National Bank for errors in arranging car loans and insurance. According to the CNB, the company has committed five offenses in the last two years. According to Häckl, these were formal mistakes that were immediately rectified and did not harm the bazaar’s clients.
