The country is affected by the depression in Sudan. Rain maps and weather details for the next 48 hours

Today, Monday 28 November and tomorrow, Tuesday 29 November, the country will be affected by the extension of the seasonal depression in Sudan over most of the southern regions, from northern Upper Egypt to the extreme south.

This drives up a lot of moisture and leads to a slight rise in temperatures, and is accompanied by an upper basin that offers the opportunity for rain.

Regarding the weather during these two days, the Meteorological Authority has indicated that areas of the north-west coasts, the Matrouh Desert and the south of the Red Sea Governorate will be affected by light to moderate rainfall, and the weather will become mostly cloudy, and will reach northern Upper Egypt and the Red Sea mountain ranges will be of varying intensity on Tuesday 29 November.

Today, Monday, temperatures continue to drop, so that during the day pleasant weather prevails in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northwestern coasts and northern Upper Egypt, moderate heat on northeastern coasts, hot in southern Sinai and in southern Upper Egypt, and cold at night in all parts.

And the Meteorological Authority said that today there is a chance of light rain at night in Greater Cairo with an incidence of 20%, a chance of light rain in the Northwest coasts with a 30% incidence, a chance of light rain which is moderate in southern Sinai and the Red Sea mountain ranges with an incidence of 40%, and moderate rainfall in northern and southern Upper Egypt with an incidence of 30%.

As for temperatures, today, Monday: Cairo, maximum 22 degrees and minimum 15 degrees, Alexandria maximum 22 degrees and minimum 15 degrees, Matrouh maximum 22 degrees and minimum 14 degrees, Sohag maximum 24 degrees and minimum 13 degrees, Qena maximum 25 degrees and low 14 degrees, Aswan high 28 degrees and the lowest is 15 degrees.
