The Council of Ministers will begin this Tuesday, September 27, the procedure to determine the physical headquarters of the Spanish Space Agency, which will not be located in Madrid and which the city of León chooses. The agency is included in the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Transformation of the Aerospace Economy (PERTE) and the commitment is that it will be operational in the first quarter of 2023. According to the government, the agency will coordinate all activities related to the space and to influence the international arena.

Among the main objectives of the Executive in the field of aeronautics, there is the creation of the future zero-emission hydrogen aircraft, as well as new unmanned aircraft for applications such as firefighting or the development of the technologies necessary to create a satellite for quantum communications , for example to increase the IT security system.
