The deadline for requesting subsidies for the payment of rent in the Community of Madrid opens. The term is already open and will end on September 30.

The BOCAM has already published the Order where the subsidies to help minimize the economic and social impact caused by COVID-19 on rents for habitual housing in Madrid. These grants are included in Royal Decree 11/2020 and Ministerial Order 336/2020, where it establishes the State Housing Plan 2018-2021, an incorporation of rental grants that has the purpose of directly awarding rental grants.
The State Housing Plan It has a budget for all communities of 100 million euros, of which 15.9 million will go to help families pay their rent. Applications can be made until September 30, 2020 and those affected by COVID-19 may be beneficiaries of unemployment, cessation of activity, ERTE or loss of income, taking into account the entire family unit and including single-parent families.
The income limit will be triple the Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM) adding 0.10 points per dependent child and 0.15 points per child in a single-parent family unit. In case of residing with people with functional diversity, the limit will be 4 times the IPREM and 5 times the IPREM in the case of major sensory disabilities.

Another requirement is that the rental income, together with basic expenses and supplies, is greater than or equal to 35% of the net income received by the family unit.
