The City mobilizes its services in the face of the heat wave: Angers.fr

In view of the exceptional heat levels expected in the coming days, the City is announcing various measures intended in particular for vulnerable people.

Thus in Ehpad and autonomy residences, air-conditioned rooms are made available to residents but also to people living at home. A hydration protocol has also been put in place: it will be reinforced in the event of the heat wave plan being triggered by the prefecture, by mobilizing volunteers from the citizen reserve.

The home support service workers, for their part, monitor the ventilation of housing, people’s hydration and their state of health. This watch is also provided by telephone by volunteers and professionals, as part of the plan to combat isolation. Vulnerable people who wish to benefit from this support can report themselves (or be reported by a third party), via an online form.

To help the homeless, the Point accueil santé solidaire offers an air-conditioned space on its premises (2 rue Jospeh-Cussonneau) with the provision of bottled water.
