The City Council says yes to the most expensive property purchase in the history of Oslo Municipality

– We believe the money should rather be used to refurbish schools all over the city, says Bjørn Revil in FNB. Together with Frp, they voted against the purchase at NOK 1.35 billion.

The large veterinary college area at Adamstuen, north of central Oslo, will now be in municipal ownership. It will take several years to investigate what the area will be used for.

On Wednesday night, the city council in Oslo formally agreed to buy three quarters of the former Veterinary College from the state. The huge area, seven football pitches large, is centrally located in Oslo.

The price is also high: NOK 1.35 billion.
