Police reported that a Toyota Prius car of Bolt company driven by a man (born in 1972) was stopped on the sidewalk on Tuesday at around 17:00, 30 min., in Vilnius, Tukstantmečio St.. It turns out that the driver was trying to get around the traffic jam that arose after the accident.

The agents immediately proceeded to get the driver out of the vehicle, but he did not listen to the legal requests, resisted and escaped arrest.

Officers working with the Renault Megane tried to get the man out of the driver’s door, while the officer who came to help climbed into the front passenger seat to help his colleagues push the man out of the vehicle.

At that moment, another crew of officers – policemen from the special preparation department – came from behind.

The officers were dragged to the asphalt

According to initial data, the aggressive driver of the “Bolt” hurled himself at another police crew and injured three officers who were trying to arrest him: while reversing, he overwhelmed and dragged two officers who were at the door of the driver (injuring their legs) and wounded the officer who was inside the “Bolt”.

Special readiness officers immediately arrested the Toyota Prius driver who injured their colleagues, he was taken into custody.
