KONTAN.CO.ID – BEIJING. Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Friday (10/23/2020), China will never allow its sovereignty, security and development interests to be compromised. He also stressed that the Chinese people should not be taken lightly.

Quoting Reuters, Xi in his speech at the Great Hall of the People said, every act of unilateralism, monopoly and intimidation will not work, and will only lead to a dead end.

“Let the world know that the Chinese people are now organized, and should not be taken lightly,” Xi said, quoting Mao Zedong, the founding father of the People’s Republic of China.

Xi spoke at the 70th anniversary of the deployment of Chinese troops to the Korean peninsula to help North Korea fight US-led UN and South Korean forces during the 1950-53 war.
