The Cabinet of Ministers will toughen the rules of entry into Ukraine – when the restriction will come into effect

The Cabinet of Ministers promulgated a decree on toughening the rules for the entry of foreigners and citizens into Ukraine. According to the innovations, persons who do not have a coronavirus vaccine will be required to self-isolate and do a PCR test.

Changes to the resolution come into force on August 5 of the current year.

New rules for crossing the border of Ukraine:

  • foreigners, for their part, are required to have a coronavirus insurance policy, a document that confirms the full course of vaccination, or a negative test result for COVID-19. If a foreigner does not have the above documents, he will be asked to install the “Home” application and he will be able to do a disease detection test within the next 72 hours;

  • citizens of Ukraine will have an unhindered crossing of the border if they have a document confirming the full course of vaccination, or a certificate 063-O about the first vaccination;
  • foreigners with a residence permit in Ukraine will also freely cross the border if they have a document confirming the full course of vaccination. If not, they will also have to install the Home app and do a COVID test within the next 72 hours;
  • all vaccinated persons who have been in Russia and India for more than a week in the last two weeks are required to observe 14-day self-isolation without the right to early termination.

The restrictions do not apply to citizens who left the territory of Ukraine before August 4, 2021.
