The second edition of the Badische Zeitung’s online wine barrel bar is broadcast live from the Briem winery in Wasenweiler. In advance, over 800 wine boxes with a total of around 10,000 wine bottles were sold.

The twelve sparkling wines and wines in the wine packages will now be tasted and discussed by twelve winemakers, the sommelier Corinna Sauerburger, the former Baden wine queen Sina Erdrich and the show’s presenter, BZ editor Gerold Zink.

For the first time, viewers can use their YouTube channel to put questions to winemakers and experts during the broadcast. Due to the corona pandemic, only those involved in the program will be present at the Briem winery itself.

Three-course menu and musical accompaniment

In between, Robert Feißt and his sister Catherina Keune from the well-known butcher’s Feißt in Teningen prepare a three-course menu in front of the camera. There is vitello tonnato with cocktail tomatoes, avocado, rocket and white bread as a starter, a grilled entrecote with onions and filled wheat flatbreads for the main course and a quark mousse with berries for dessert. If you want, you can cook the menu at home during the broadcast. The well-known guitarist and singer Sascha Happle will be responsible for the music of the evening.
