The branch demanded children, who fainted before being shocked; Arun was arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have arrested her husband Arun in connection with the murder of Shakhakumari. According to the police, Shakha Kumari’s demand for children led to the dispute and later to the murder. Arun told police that Shakha Kumari was strangled to death after suffocating.

Arun, who is in the custody of the Vellarada police, was found guilty of premeditated murder. Arun’s first statement was that Shakha Kumari had pulled the wire to get an electric shock when she went out of the house in the morning. However, he later testified that he was strangled after being suffocated.

Arun informed the locals that Shakha Kumari was found dead in the hall of her house in Karakonam last day. Arun told locals and police that he was shocked by the wire he bought for lighting on the Christmas tree. The murder was proved by the police interrogation which seemed to contradict the statement. During the search, police found clear evidence of blood stains and force from inside the room. The relatives allege that the murder was done to rob the branch property.

Her brother-in-law Gracie told the media that her husband Arun’s behavior was not right and that he had warned Shakha Kumari till the day before the wedding that Arun was getting married for money. The 51-year-old Shakha’s mother met 26-year-old Arun while he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. They were married two months ago. The family has had problems ever since. Arun told police that he wanted to leave the relationship and return home but was stopped by the branch. According to police, the recent release of a wedding photo by the branch also angered Arun.
