The bouncy castle accident in Australia has taken six lives

The accident happened during one graduation Thursday on the island of Tasmania in Australia.

Four children were confirmed dead shortly after, while four children were critically injured.

Two of them are now dead, and for the other two the condition is still critical.

A total of nine children are injured.

“It is with a heavy heart that I can confirm that an eleven-year-old boy passed away at the hospital this afternoon,” police spokesman Darren Hine said on Sunday afternoon local time.

He says the local police have accepted an offer from the police in the state of New South Wales to assist in the interrogations of a large number of traumatized children.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison calls the tragedy heartbreaking.

“Children were gathered with their families for a day of outdoor fun, and then the day ended in an unimaginable tragedy,” Morrison said.

Morrison said on Saturday that the government is allocating 800,000 Australian dollars – over 5 million kroner – to provide crisis assistance to ambulance personnel and the local community.

$ 1 million has also been raised for the bereaved.
