The players of CV Haris, Lucía Prol and Patricia Llabrés, begin this Monday and Tuesday the way to qualify for the European championship to be held next August.
The Spanish volleyball team is already in Aarau (Switzerland), where the team led by Pascual Saurín will play two preparation matches against Switzerland and which will serve as preparation for the double commitment of the pre-European.
The first match between Spanish and Swiss women will be held this Monday at 5:00 p.m., while the second match will take place on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The members of Las Leonas del Vóley passed an antigen test upon arrival in Switzerland, in which both the players and the coaching staff were negative.
The 14 players that make up the women’s team for these preparation commitments are:
Underwriters: María José Corral and Ariadna Priante
Centrals: Lucia Varela, Lucrecia Castellano, Carmen Unzué and Carlota García
Attackers: Helia González, María Segura, Ana Escamilla, Denia Bravo, Lucia Prol and Raquel Montoro
Liberos: Alba Sánchez and Patricia Llabrés.
The Lionesses of Volleyball will travel to Greece after the two bilateral matches to take part in group C of qualification for the next European Championship, having as rivals Greece, Austria and Norway. The team led by Pascual Saurín will play their first three games in Greece, while the qualifying phase will end in Austria the following weekend. The top two finishers in each group will enter the final phase of the European Championship that will take place from August 15 to 30 in Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
