Until Saturday, the Norwegian was unbeaten in 801 days in 125 games. It was the longest series in the history of classical chess. Carlsen, considered the greatest chess player in history, later revealed that he had made a big mistake. “I overlooked the queen’s move he made.” Back then, I really thought I was going to win. This is very disappointing, he said.
Duda: “I am a normal, ordinary person”
In May, Duda defeated Carlsen in the Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge tournament. It was, however, a victory in blitz chess. In 2018, Carlsen became world champion, ahead of Duda by just 0.5 points. – Suddenly there was a lot of Bagpipe everywhere, but not the usual – joked 22-year-old Jan-Krzysztof Duda in an interview with Sport.pl. – I don’t consider myself a genius.
