The chef of Stockholm’s Frantzén restaurant, Antti Lukkari, has died.
So writes on Instagram Bjørn Frantzen, owner of the restaurant.
– I am completely devastated to have to announce the tragic and sudden loss of my dear friend, golf partner and colleague Antti Lukkari, head chef at Frantzén restaurant, writes.
The rally star (55) is dead
Lukkari’s father, Hannu Lukkari, also confirmed the death to the Finnish newspaper Ilta Sanom.
– We will miss him very much
– Antti passed away after being treated in hospital for an illness that occurred while on vacation. My thoughts go out to Antti’s family and all those close to him, Frantzen continues.
The Frantzen restaurant has three Michelin stars.

Lukkari’s boyfriend also posted on his Instagram-accountwhere he writes that the chef has battled metabolic acidosis, kidney failure, sepsis (blood poisoning) and TTP.
– Heartbreaking
The Finnish newspaper Evening newspaper writes that the 29-year-old had been working at the restaurant for nearly six years and that he became head chef in June 2022.
The owner of the Danish restaurant Noma, Rene Redzepi, also comments on the death on Instagram.
– Heartbreaking news. Our deepest condolences to Antti’s family, friends and colleagues. Rest in eternal peace, chef, he writes.

Hufvudstadsbladet writes that Lukkari has won several awards for his cuisine, including best assistant chef at the Bocuse d’Or, the world’s most prestigious cooking competition.
Chef Hans Valimaki signs Instagram that the 29-year-old died on a vacation trip to the Philippines.
