Special Prosecutor Jonna Ryynänen informs in the afternoon that a preliminary investigation will be conducted in the case in accordance with the Preliminary Investigation Act.

– Since the subject of the preliminary investigation is the police, the prosecutor acts as the head of the investigation. In the preliminary investigation, the prosecutor assesses whether there is a reason to start a preliminary investigation into the police’s activities, Ryynänen says.

According to the release, the man behaved threateningly in the situation and fired several shots at the police.
