realme GT Neo2 enters the ranks of smartphones with large batteries. How not, the realme GT Neo is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery. Yes! It’s great fun, but size isn’t the only thing that determines how long the battery lasts.
The team at DxOMark was also curious about the smartphone made by realme and ended up carrying out a fairly rigorous test to determine how the battery actually performs in real-world scenarios. The result, prompted DxOMark to reward the Realme GT Neo2 with an impressive score of 94.
In the ‘Stationary’ test conducted by DxOMark, the realme GT Neo2 was able to last for 64 hours, which is about 3 hours faster than the Xiaomi 11T and OPPO Reno6 5G. However, on an overnight battery drain the device was brilliant, losing only 0.33% of its battery charge.
For those of you who don’t know, Stationary testing is what DxOMark calls a typical usage scenario (TUS), such as making calls, streaming video, and so on. Noted, 4 hours of active use over a 16 hour period, plus 8 hours of idle time.
Furthermore, DxOMark also found that the realme GT Neo2 performs quite well on calls, GPS, gaming, and when using the camera. Yes! Its battery life outperforms its competitors, namely the Xiaomi 11T and OPPO Reno6 5G in some use cases.
Moving on to charging, the realme GT Neo2 only takes 25 minutes to charge the battery from 0% to 80%. If forced to charge to 90%, it will take 30 minutes and it will take up to 41 minutes if you want to fully charge to 100%.
Yes! DxOMark stated that it was something extraordinary especially considering the support for the large capacity battery that was embedded by realme into the realme GT Neo2. Even so, not a few people commented because this smartphone has support for 67W Ultrafast fast charging.
DxOMark also admits that the current charging performance of the realme GT Neo2 is the third best in the high-end segment. Overall, the battery life on this device was 2 days 12 hours, which DxOMark gave it a score of 94 in the end.
Able to achieve a score of 94 points overall, this places the realme GT Neo2 in 2nd place in battery testing conducted by DxOMark. Meanwhile, the realme GT Neo2 only lost to the OPPO Reno6 5G which was able to score 96 points.
