Christelle Lehartel, Minister of Education addressed all educational professionals in Polynesia on the directions to be taken. In the aftermath of the announcements of health restrictions by the President and the High Commissioner, the priority announced for education staff is the fight against absenteeism which has unfortunately developed following confinement and the difficulties encountered in returning to class. of all. Still in the idea of promoting education, a reflection of the transition towards the obligation to educate children from the age of 3 years is put in place with various measures. The law will come into force at the start of the 2022 school year in Polynesia. The objectives of education in terms of integration are also mentioned, in particular with the opening of the first therapeutic educational and pedagogical institute (ITEP) which will receive children from 4 to 12 years old with behavioral disorders. It will be located in Temae on Moorea. The objectives of high standards, staff training and benevolence in education are recalled.
