The new season “The Bachelor” started differently than usual. Because Dominik Stuckmann surprised two of the women right at the beginning of the show! With one he even spoke about his ex and with another he was skeptical about her career choice.
Three candidates had to leave the villa in Mexico after episode one.
“The Bachelor”: Big surprise for women
This year’s bachelor dances out of line for several, quite likeable reasons. For example, he does not earn his money through Instagram or other social media platforms. On the contrary: Before the show started, he didn’t even have an account on Instagram. That’s why he showed little enthusiasm when candidate Nele proudly told him about her job as an influencer and revealed that she had over 100,000 followers. “The word influencer has such a weird aftertaste here, but good”, says Dominik then in an interview.
Back to the reasons why Dominik is different than the others. He doesn’t show off his body of steel, but quite openly admits that he finds the gym a bit tiring. He has probably conquered half of the hearts! Then while a few of the women are already in the villa, talking and waiting for the round to be complete, the bachelor simply joins them. He chats a bit, toasts them and even takes a few bites from a snack, as he says he’s “fucking up steam.” Totally likeable, really! After a brief refreshment, he returns to the end of the red carpet and welcomes the rest of the ladies.
Point three, why this year’s bachelor is immediately noticeable: He can’t help but surprise a few of the women. While they think they’re being taken to the “Bachelor” mansion by a chauffeur, it’s actually someone else behind the wheel. Namely the bachelor himself! However, Dominik wears a cap and mask so that the women do not recognize him in advance. Arriving at the villa, however, they don’t see their maybe dream man and wonder where he could be. And when they then realize that the bachelor could be listening in all the time, they would like to sink into the ground. The result: sweating and screaming!
The conversation about the ex
While Dominik doubts the intentions of some women after a few initial conversations, candidate Lara cross-examines him. She knows that his last relationship lasted a full six years and only ended a few months ago. In disbelief, she digs deeper: “And you’re already over it?!”. Dominik then explains to her: “When you break up, it doesn’t happen suddenly, it’s a process, I would say, that lasts for months, maybe years. And eventually you get to a point where you pull the ripcord.”
Lara isn’t exactly happy about that. Because she knows from her own experience how difficult it can be to get over an ex-partner. She herself had a relationship that lasted five and a half years. But until she had overcome the pain of separation, half an eternity passed. However, in order not to spend the whole evening talking about exes, at the end they reassure themselves that they are both ready for something new now!
Three women have to go
After the first, boisterous evening with 22 women by his side, Dominik has to make a difficult decision. Three singles must go! The choice was obviously difficult for the businessman from Frankfurt. “I thought the first decision would be a no-brainer, but I was proven otherwise. I have to say that all women are cool and have that certain something about them. As hard as it is for me, I’m super sad to have to tell three women your journey ends here.”
Without rose had to say goodbye Jenny, Bella and Elina. For the latter, that probably wasn’t a big surprise. Because it just didn’t spark between her and Dominik. “We had a difficult start,” he said before the decision was made. The rest of the evening the two didn’t have much to say to each other.
