Rolle will lose one of its international companies by 2022. Japanese automaker Nissan will leave the town, where it has had its European headquarters since 2008, Le Temps reported on Wednesday.
Nissan plans to group its employees in the Paris region, where part of its teams are already located. According to information from the French daily, only 25 to 30 people still work in Rolle. “Having two seats, one in France and one in Switzerland, was not very efficient. We decided to put everything together to be more efficient in a single seat here in France, “Gianluca de Ficchy, director of Nissan Europe, told AFP.
Tax rebates
Two restructurings had already been carried out on this site, which had 228 jobs, with 92 positions moved in 2016 and 51 in 2019. This headquarters was opened in 2008, with the aim of bringing together teams from transversal sectors, such as administration or marketing, to make them more effective.
Until 2017, the company benefited from tax rebates according to a decree providing for a reduction in direct federal tax and adjustments to cantonal taxation.
