The authors of Destruction Allstars must compensate for the lack of shoe players

The fact that the exclusive multiplayer title for PlayStation 5 Destruction Allstars will not be a big hit, we foretold already in our review. The situation turns out to be exactly as unfavorable for the game as we expected. And even so much so that when searching for teammates for matches, it takes so long that the authors prefer to pay for empty spaces with artificial intelligence.

An update that will allow this does not yet have an official release date, but it is clear that the Lucid Games studio behind the game is racing against the clock. Although the game was free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers between February and April, shortly afterwards, game servers were virtually empty.

Destruction Allstars got into this situation both on its own and due to external factors. First of all, the game closed to a larger audience simply because there are still not enough PlayStations 5 and many players who would like to try the game, for example, still did not get to the console. Of course, even those who already have them prefer other games.

A clear solution would be offered if the authors simply did not produce the game exclusively for the PlayStation 5, and they could have a much larger audience. However, Destruction Allstars still remains an exclusive title and reaches for other solutions, far more emergency. Whether it’s the aforementioned artificial intelligence or the fact that it was originally supposed to be a game for the full price of 2 thousand crowns, but it is now sold for only 600. Of course, you also need a PS Plus subscription to play.

Just the thought that the game should have cost so much money could have caused the initial deterrence of potential applicants. So far, we have only seen a handful of titles, which have basically tried to say an amount exceeding two thousand crowns, and in contrast to them (eg Demon Souls or Returnal) Destruction Allstars is basically just such a break.

At the same time, the game had the ambition to be basically a playstation Rocket League with a touch of Fortnit, which sounds very tempting on paper. In the end, however, it seems that the game will fall into oblivion very quickly, unless the Lucid Games resurrect it with radical changes.
