Published in 1951, Salinger’s most famous novel is a story of adolescent angst. The novel tells about the order and morality of the American society of those years and about the rebellion against them, the symbol of which becomes the main character – the young Holden Caulfield.
Salinger is also the author of short stories – the most famous of them is “A Perfect Day for Banana Fish”.
