The association Le Refuge opens a branch in Dijon

The association Le Refuge helps young LGBT people (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered) aged 18 to 25 who are victims of homophobia or transphobia, in a situation of breakdown with their loved ones by offering a listening service, connection with professionals and temporary accommodation.

Created in 2003 in Montpellier, Le Refuge provides apartments in no less than 20 departments and is present in 30 others through relay antennas.

Dijon very willing to welcome Le Refuge

“We invest a city when a city wants us, we met the municipal council of Dijon last October 28 which was very willing to welcome us to the House of associations,” says Richard Renault, national coordinator of the Refuge. And the same to augur: “The opening of the antenna will surely be done during the month of May 2020”. Since its creation, the association has supported 8,500 young people and hosted more than 1,500.
