Here are the main points of the statement given this Saturday at 6:00 p.m., by the head of the epidemic diseases service at the Directorate of Epidemiology under the Ministry of Health, Hind Ezzine:
– 11,877 is the total number of people infected with Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic in Morocco, i.e. an increase of 244 case in 24 hours.
– These new cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (75),
Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (62), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (52), Fès-Meknès (23), Marrakech-Safi (22), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (5), Béni-Mellal-Khénifra (2) , Guelmim-Oued Noun (1), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (2).
– 67 new remissions have been recorded in the past 24 hours. The total number of healings is 8,723. The national remission rate is 73.4%.
–Two new deaths have been recorded. The total number of coronavirus deaths is now 220. The case fatality rate is 1.9%.
– The number of active cases, that is, people still treated by health establishments, is 2,934 including 21 critical cases.
