“We will play such a tasting from the opera repertoire from next season,” ND spokesman Tomáš Staněk told Novinka, adding that the first Saturday open air concert was conducted by Jaroslav Kyzlink, the opera director of the National Opera. They sang Alžběta Poláčková, Aleš Briscein or Svatopluk Sem.

“We will play excerpts from the most famous operas by composers Smetana, Dvořák, Puccini, Bizet and Rossini and a few musical surprises,” Jaroslav Kyzlink himself boasted that such events are completely different from acting in a theater. “We have to do an acoustic test, it’s completely different, it’s different conditions.”

The musicians are very much looking forward to their performances because they have had a long break due to the coronavirus measure. “This event is such an invitation to next season, which we hope will go in normal mode,” says Kyzlink.

The ship with musicians on board sailed from the vicinity of the National Theater and at its first stop between Střelecký ostrov and Kampa began music production at 20:00. After passing through the lock, she went to the second station – the dock at Rašínovo nábřeží. Here the musicians started playing at 20:50. The last place of the program was Smíchovská náplavka. But the same scenario with a different repertoire will take place next Saturday, June 26.
