They detained the head of the real estate mafia, Vladimir Mladenov-Mamata, involved in real estate fraud. The operation was carried out in the territories of Sofia and Burgas by the Ministry of the Interior, writes SafeNews.
In the course of it, 23 addresses in Sofia and 3 in Burgas were checked. Numerous items and documents related to the group’s criminal activities were seized.
14 people were detained with a police measure for up to 24 hours. Charges have been brought against five of them and their detention has been extended for a period of up to 72 hours by a prosecutor’s decree.
Work on the case continues, under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office.

The tandem got their hands on the property in 2008. And subsequently, after a series of fictitious transactions, sold it for the sum of BGN 800,000.
The buyer of the property is gen. Stoyan Tonev – the then head of the Military Medical Academy, who died in 2017. During his lifetime, gen. Tonev was indicted together with his close associate Dr. Kadurina, for embezzling over BGN 16 million from a military hospital.
