Not only Toyota Avanza, LMPV (Low Multi Purpose Vehicles) cars will get a refresher. It’s crazy on social media the appearance of a car that is suspected to be a Mitsubishi Xpander facelift.
The appearance of the photo that is suspected to be a Mitsubishi Xpander facelift has spread on various social media platforms. Some of them have been re-uploaded via Instagram accounts, one of which is @zushufmch.
In the short video clip, the car suspected of being the Xpander Facelift was touched on the face.
Changes are widely seen with the shape of the grille, then the head lamp and fog lamps also seem to have been revised from the current Mitsubishi Xpander.
If you glance at the stern side and the use of wheels it still looks the same as the Xpander now. Not yet known changes related to engine specifications and interior.
So far detikOto has contacted Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), but has not provided an answer regarding the appearance of the model that is suspected to be the Xpander facelift.
The emergence of the new Mitsubishi Xpander is in line with Mitsubishi Motors’ plans. This is stated in the “First-Quarter Financial Results for FY2021” sheet which was released on 27 July 2021.
In the document, Mitsubishi will introduce the new Outlander PHEV and Xpander in the second half of the 2021 fiscal year (1 April 2021 – 31 March 2022).
“In 2H/FY2021, we plan to introduce the new Outlander PHEV and new Xpander models with significant updates,” Mitsubishi Motors plans in the document.
If you look at Mitsubishi’s plans, the new Xpander will be launched in the remaining 6 months of the fiscal year between October – March 2022.
The signal for the appearance of the Xpander facelift will make the competition in the low MPV segment hotter. Because its rivals, the Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia, are certain to soon launch new products after the social media timeline was shocked with photos of the Avanza Veloz with the look of an SUV but an MPV body.
