The Commission for Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property and Anti-Corruption is investigating how the former Minister of Culture from the last government of Boyko Borissov, Boil Banov, acquired a house in Koprivshtitsa. This was reported by the “24 hours” newspaper, referring to its sources.

The commission, headed by former Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, has no official information on the subject. The BNR also announced the inspection, according to which documents were seized from the town hall in the city.

At the end of June, a signal for Banov’s house in Koprivshtitsa was submitted by the Zograf association. According to them, the property was bought at a lower than real price. Shortly after the announcement of the organization, the Supreme Administrative Prosecutor’s Office announced that they had requested information from the caretaker Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov.

The inspection must establish the origin of the money with which the property was bought, what its value is and whether its price corresponds to the market price.
