The Associations of Parents of Students will mobilize next September 5 in Córdoba to request “a safe face-to-face return to school for everyone.”
The Ampas have met in assembly to coordinate with other associations of fathers and mothers and groups in defense of public education, and have established a series of actions with which they try to guarantee that their sons and daughters return to school with the greatest guarantee and safety to avoid infections.
To begin, they have called a protest for September 5 in which groups from all over the province of Córdoba will participate, making visible their discomfort due to the administration’s refusal to increase the ratios in the classrooms.
Among other issues, the Platform that groups them asks that “the covid protocols of the schools are not signed, if they do not contemplate the reduction of the ratio per classroom”Where the number of students or the availability of spaces in the center does not allow the necessary social distancing.
MEETINGS WITH MAYORS AND MAYORS
The groups have also organized a meeting with the Mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, and with the rest of the mayors of the municipalities so that reinforcement measures can be explained first-hand that the consistories are going to take for the imminent return to the classrooms.
The Ampas of Córdoba criticize further the elimination of school units in Caballeros de Santiago and Algafequi, and they will support the mobilizations and protests that these centers call to claim them.
