After Béziers, Perpignan or even Carcassonne, in Occitanie, it is the turn of the town of Montauban, in Tarn-et-Garonne, to meet revoke his order allowing non-food businesses to remain open during containment. The Toulouse administrative court issued its decision, this Monday afternoon. More specifically, the prefect of the department seized the interim judge to obtain the suspension of the text. The judge therefore ruled in his favor while waiting to study the legality of the municipal decree in Montauban on the merits.
Blackmail denounced by the mayor of Montauban
The mayor of Montauban, Brigitte Barèges, had even denounced a “blackmail” and promised to pay the fines if traders were punished. The prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne, Pierre Besnard, had also asked the police to circulate in the streets to inform traders that they risked sanctions by remaining open.
