the administrative court lifts the curfew in Martinique –

End of curfew in Martinique. The Fort-de-France administrative court has just suspended the travel ban between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. This decision takes effect this Friday, May 15, 2020

In a laconic statement, the prefect of the territory announces the lifting of the curfew between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. starting today, Friday, May 15, 2020.

Stanislas Cazelles “takes note of this judgment“of the administrative court of Fort-de-France, which ordered the suspension of the order prohibiting movement between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.

Night outings again free

This judicial decision means that everyone is again free to go out at night, but while respecting the health regulations in force, in particular the limitation of gatherings to 10 people.

This restrictive measure had already been relaxed by the state representative on May 11 during the deconfinement, by authorizing businesses to close a little later, until 8 p.m.

This curfew had been introduced in Martinique on April 1, 2020, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., as part of containment measures, in an attempt to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
