General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said that presidential and vice presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka have a big chance of winning the 2024 presidential election, judging from several survey results. Spokesperson for the National Winning Team (Timnas) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN), Bestari Barusalluding to those who shouted victory just to frame victory.
“Usually, when people win, they like to keep quiet. If they shout that they have won, it could also be just to frame the victory,” said Bestari to reporters, Friday (1/12/2023).
Bestari said that to this day it cannot be said who will win or pass one round. However, said Bestari, having hopes of winning is legitimate.
“Until today we haven’t seen a picture of who will win or who will win one round,” said Bestari.
“The hope of winning is legitimate. It’s also called hope. Surveys are scattered everywhere. There are also lots of polls and they all give a different picture,” he said.
Bestari said the survey results were different from what was happening in the field. He then brought up the enthusiasm of the community when Anies-Cak Imin visited several areas.
“Moreover, the reality on the ground also shows significant differences. The Anies-Muhaimin candidate pair always receives extraordinary attention from the presence of people who long for change,” said Bestari Barus.
Kaesang previously conveyed a number of survey results which placed Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in first position. Kaesang said Prabowo and Gibran had a big chance of winning the 2024 election.
For this reason, Kaesang said that PSI joining the coalition of parties supporting Prabowo-Gibran is expected to have an impact on PSI’s vote share in the 2024 legislative elections, so that the party bearing the rose symbol can get a seat in the DPR RI.
“The reason is this, if we look at the surveys that are already out there, you could say that Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran have already won, but those who have won are still being helped. So, yes, help PSI, whose survey is still small, right? If so, “It could become one of the big political parties in the future to enter Senayan,” he said.
This was conveyed by Kaesang during the declaration of the formation of Sedulur Kaesang-Jokowi volunteers at the Elza Syarief Law Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday (1/12/2023). For this reason, Kaesang said that PSI and the Prabowo-Gibran team would help each other.
“But that doesn’t mean I won’t help Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran because if I say I won’t help, I’ll be scolded too,” said Kaesang.
Kaesang believes that Prabowo-Gibran can definitely win, if the data in a number of surveys is correct. “If it matches the data in the surveys, even if there is a survey that says he is number two, that’s okay,” added Kaesang.
