Messenger service introduces new characters with update, making chats easier.
WhatsApp recently announced a number of new functions (multi-device support, self-deleting photos / videos, etc.). These are to be rolled out gradually in the coming months. However, users of the messenger service no longer have to wait for a new feature. That was published as part of the latest update and makes group chats much easier.
@ Symbol next to group chats
The novelty is not revolutionary, but ensures that you don’t lose track of things in group chats so quickly. In addition to the group chats, you can now see an @ symbol if you were mentioned in it or someone has replied to a message. The user knows immediately whether there is a message in the group chat that directly affects him. This is particularly useful when chats with several participants are really going on.
Availability
WhatsApp has already released the new update. However, since the messenger service has over two billion users, it can take a while to reach everyone. As soon as this is the case, you will see the following note in the update details:
