If you are toying with a model from the iPhone 12 series and enjoy streaming films or series, you should get hold of it as soon as possible. Because only until June 29th will you get Apple TV + for free for one year when you buy a qualifying device.
The offer has been around for some time and Apple has repeatedly extended the promotional period. But that’s over now, as can be read on the official website. As 9to5Mac reports, the test period should only be three months if you buy the smartphone from July.

Note that, according to Apple, you have to buy iPhone 12 and Co. “before June 30th” in order to get Apple TV + free for an entire year. You are also qualified for the promotion if you buy another iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple TV (4K), Mac or iPod touch by the deadline.
iPhone 12 with Apple TV +: This is how much you save
The regular subscription for Apple TV + costs 4.99 euros per month. So over the entire test period you will save almost 60 euros if you buy an iPhone 12 or one of the other devices mentioned before June 30th. Practically, Apple’s current smartphones with their top displays are also ideal for enjoying films and series.
However, there are one or the other limitation that you have to be aware of. For example, only one of your family can take advantage of the offer. Nevertheless, your siblings or parents also benefit from the test subscription, because it can be shared with up to five people via the family share. The prerequisite for this is that they use a compatible Apple device.
Unfortunately, you cannot combine the offer with other free trial subscriptions. If you buy an iPhone 12, for example, you have to decide whether you want to use Apple TV + or Apple Arcade (three months) for free. Both subscriptions will continue to run at the regular price after the test period if you do not cancel before the deadline.
Apple TV +: Exclusive series and films
The streaming service is comparable to Netflix, but offers access to various exclusive series and films. Highlights in the Apple TV + program catalog are, for example, “The Morning Show” with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and “See” with Jason Momoa, whom you may know from “Game of Thrones”. Other in-house productions by Apple are the series “For All Mankind”, “Tehran” and “Mosquito Coast”.
