Juarez City- When she was 9 years old, Aileen Jiménez Espinoza was diagnosed with cancer, but she managed to defeat the disease; Now, near her 18th birthday, and as a way of thanking her for the support they gave her when she was in treatment, she will donate blood for children affected by cancer and leukemia.

In addition to the fact that she will be a tissue donor, she is promoting a donation campaign to help sick minors who are cared for in the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer and Leukemia (Apanical), an activity that she has planned for next week.

“The intention is to thank the Juarense community for the help they gave me before, and now that I am coming of age and I can donate blood, I want to do it as a way to partially return all the support I received when I was diagnosed with cancer” , he expressed.

Patricia Espinoza, Aileen’s mother, commented that her daughter will turn 18 on May 27 and wants to celebrate it by donating blood, but in addition to that, inviting the community to donate during the campaign that will take place on the 24th. to the 29th of this month, from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“The tissue donation will be at the Bansua blood bank, located in Poliplaza Diamante, we invite the Juarense population to join this noble cause by donating blood for children and adolescents suffering from cancer, treated at the Apanical”, said Patricia .

“We are in difficult times, help us to help, because life is in the blood,” says the teenager who comes of age on the 27th.

“I want to help other children by donating my blood, so that like me they can be cured of cancer”, says the letter in the advertisement that Aileen makes known, inviting them to donate the tissue.

“Working shoulder to shoulder for children with cancer and leukemia”, is expressed in another of the banners promoting the donation.

Helping is his big dream

“Thank God I have been in remission for 7 years, I have always wanted to donate blood and now that I will be 18 years old, the great dream of being able to do so will come true, with the authorization of my pediatric oncologist Rubén Ornelas and neurologist Hernández Navarrete,” he said.

“This birthday will be special”, Aileen stressed, “because I decided to celebrate it by donating part of my blood, but at the same time inviting more people to join this cause by putting their seed of love, either by donating or by inviting more people to be one”.
