Bob Dylan sells his catalog, a 60-year rock odyssey
NEW YORK (AP) – Bob Dylan sold the publishing rights to his catalog of more than 600 songs, one of the great treasures of popular music, to Universal Music Publishing Group for an undisclosed sum. The catalog includes modern classics such as “Blowin ‘In The Wind”, “The Times They Are a-Changin'”, “Knockin ‘On Heaven’s Door” and “Like a Rolling Stone”, a set of works perhaps only comparable to those of the Beatles, whose songs were repurchased by Paul McCartney in 2017 after changing hands several times, due to their reach and influence.
