Text change on promotional PS Plus image fuels rumors again

There have been rumors for a while that Sony is working on an answer to Game Pass from Microsoft. It would be a more expanded edition of PlayStation Plus that will be made available in three tiers and currently under the project name ‘Spartacus‘ has. If we are to believe the message from the end of last year, it is intended to be rolled out in the spring of this year.

Sony has made no official announcements and it remains to be seen whether anything is correct. However to dive more and more hints on. For example, Sony recently withdrew the single sales of PlayStation Now subscriptions back from retail and now it appears that they have also made a small adjustment to PlayStatation Plus.

The text for newly announced titles has been the same for a long time, but that text has been adjusted for the games of February. Now it might be a bit far fetched, but with all the rumors surrounding possible expansion plans, everything can be taken as a hint.

Normally the text accompanying the promotional image for PlayStation Plus games is: ‘For PlayStation Plus subscribers’. However, this has now been changed to ‘Available this month at no extra cost’. This would normally make little difference, but since layers are used in the new form, it suddenly makes more sense to give them a more specific interpretation.

But, it can also mean nothing. The fact remains that there seem to be a lot of shifts in the background around PlayStation Plus, so hopefully we’ll have more news soon.
