Tesla released production and delivery numbers for the fourth quarter of 2019. As in the previous quarter, the US manufacturer reported new records. In the past three months, almost 105,000 electric cars have been produced and approximately 112,000 vehicles have been delivered. In Q3 2019 production and delivery were still 96,155 and 97,000 electric cars, respectively.

From the big limousine Model S and the SUV Model X Tesla manufactured 17,933 units in Q4 2019, deliveries totaled 19,450 vehicles. From the mid-range car Model 3 In the past three months, 86,958 copies rolled off the lines, 92,550 were delivered.

In total, Tesla delivered approximately 367,500 electric cars last year – 50 percent more than in 2018. The annual target had thus been achieved. “We want to thank our customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and supporters who have made another record year possible,” the company said in a message.

“We continue to focus on expanding our production in the United States and in our newly commissioned factory in Shanghai, Although we celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for the Gigafactory Shanghai less than 12 months ago, we have already produced just under 1,000 customer vehicles and started delivering them, ”continued. Over 3000 vehicles could already be produced in China per week, but local battery production, which started in December, was not yet that far.

In conclusion, Tesla pointed out that the number of vehicles delivered had been calculated “somewhat cautiously”, so the actual quantity could be even higher. As usual, the company will announce further details on the business result in the fourth quarter of 2019 with figures on, among other things, sales and profit / loss as well as a prospect of the expected development in the new year.
