An interesting event that drowned Aydın in law and became the agenda of the whole country took place in December 1967.
According to information obtained in 1967, 27-year-old Mustafa Celen, allegedly his brother-in-law could not bear to talk about his wife, then Mustafa Çelen, two pistols and a rifle he took with his wife and his wife’s family killed a total of 9 people shot. Mustafa Çelen, who surrendered 7 days later, was commemorated from this date with the nickname “Çine Monster”.
Sentenced to death three times, Çelen’s sentence was reduced to 36 years thanks to Amnesty General in 1974. After serving 16 years of this sentence, Mustafa Çelen got out of prison in 1984 and settled in Hacıköseler Village of Yenipazar.
A few years ago, Mustafa Çelen Aydın, who had various health problems due to old age, started to stay in a nursing home. Çelen’s funeral was buried in the cemetery of the village where he settled after the murder after the funeral prayer was made.
