In this context, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee wrote today, Friday, in a post on his account on the “X” platform: “The IDF continues to raise its readiness on the northern front: general exercises, reserve forces, and preparations to engage in combat amid winter weather conditions.” He added, “In conjunction with the training of reserve fighters of the 146th and 210th Brigades on the northern front, Golani Brigade fighters began this week the process of raising readiness on the northern front.”

He continued, “As part of an effort to raise the eligibility and readiness of the ground forces to fight in the northern region, under the leadership of the Northern Training Center, the reserve and regular brigades on the northern front carried out training in terrain that simulates the northern border, amid winter weather conditions. The training included a joint exercise for armored forces and engineering infantry.” And artillery, in jungle on mountainous and complex terrain, practicing camouflage techniques, fighting in the open area, as well as transporting the wounded amid harsh weather conditions.”

He added, “As part of the ongoing preparations in the region, an assessment of the situation was conducted earlier this week headed by the Commander of the Northern Region, Major General Uri Gordin, at the Ramat David Air Force Base with the base commander, and a dialogue was held between the commanders.
