Bundesliga leader RB Leipzig suffered an expensive defeat while visiting Bas Eost’s Eintracht Frankfurt. It ended in Frankfurt in a 1-0 win for the home team by a goal from Almamy Touré. Borussia Mönchengladbach benefited by winning 3-1 against FSV Mainz 05.
Eintracht Frankfurt – RB Leipzig 2-0
The Eintracht Frankfurt by Bas Dost has caused a thunderous surprise in the Bundesliga. Against league-leader RB Leipzig, they managed to get off the field with a 2-0 victory through goals from Almamy Touré and Filip Kostic. Leipzig was the better team in the first half, but was unable to find the net despite a number of good chances.

Borussia Mönchengladbach has gratefully made use of the loss of RB Leipzig on a visit to Eintracht Frankfurt. The team of coach Marco Rose had a hard time against Mainz and even fell behind due to a goal from Robin Quaison, but equalized the score before the break by a goal from Alassane Pléa.
After the break, the same Pléa eventually also became the match winner. With a quarter of an hour to play, he shot in a somewhat happy manner with his shin the winning one. Florian Neuhaus made the 3-1 just in time.
