Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies are believed to produce tens of millions of doses of the corona vaccine (Covid-19) early next year. This was revealed by an infectious disease expert in the United States (US) and also the White House Advisor Anthony Fauci.
Although a bit conservative compared to other US officials, he is optimistic that one million vaccines might already be available by the end of 2021. He is hopeful that this could be the solution of the Covid-19 pandemic that infects 18 million people in the world today.
“The federal government has put more than ‘one egg in a basket’,” he said in an exclusive interview with Reuters, quoted Thursday (6/8/2020).
“I am very confident that we will have a vaccine that is effective enough to be approved.”

Fauci also believes, specifically in the US, politics will not influence and interfere with vaccines. As is known, the US will begin the Presidential Election on 3 November.
“I hope … when we go through 2021 and go through another cycle we will get the situation that everything is under control,” he stressed again.
Previously, a number of world companies competed to make vaccines. Not only China, this is also done by US, British, Japanese and Russian companies.
The US government has also spent billions of dollars making vaccines with a number of companies. Among them Johnson & Johnson, Moderna Inc., Pfizer, Novavac Inc. and Sanofi SA.
