Tennis. Valentin Royer wins the Open de la Relance at Taden-Dinan

The semi-finals of the Open de la Relance on the grounds of TC Taden-Dinan (Côtes d’Armor) were taking place this morning.

But the final, scheduled for this afternoon, will not take place. Injured, Johan Sébastien Tatlot, had to forfeit. It is therefore Valentin Royer who is designated the winner of the tournament.

The organizers nevertheless planned, instead of the final, a friendly opposition between Valentin Royer and Arthur Rinderknech, seed number 4 of the tournament, from 4 p.m. just before entering the field of ancient glories Henri Leconte, Michaël Llodra and Christophe Roger-Vasselin.

Feedback on the semi-finals

Valentin Royer (n°81, TC Pornichet) clearly dominated his opponent, the Parisian Mathys Erhard (-15, TC Plaisir) until then author of an excellent tournament and surprise guest of the last four.

In both sets, the Pornichétin quickly broke away, taking the service of his opponent very early.

Aggressive in return, enterprising and domineering in the exchange, Valentin Royer, 2019 European junior champion, won with a score of 6/2 6/2:

“I’m happy, it’s never easy to play a friend in the semi-finals. I had a good game, I was quite relaxed. I felt very good, everything went well ”

Tatlot holds its rank

The other semi-final opposed the Parisian Johan Sébastien Tatlot (n ° 29, TC Blanc-Mesnil) to Titouan Droguet (n ° 100, Saint Germain-les-Corbeil).

Among women, the two favorites held their place. Lucie Renault and Luna Dormet, who were starting their tournament, met in the final.

The first, ranked -2/6 and licensed at TC de Gorron (in Mayenne), came to the end of Valérie Regnier (Saint-Malo) on the score of 6/1 6/4.

For his part, Luna Dormet (Tours Tennis Club), ranked -15, defeated the Irish Rachel Lynn Mccrum, classified 4/6 and licensed at TC Lehon.
