Telegram “challenge” WhatsApp: now you can import chats, photos and videos

With the change of privacy rules on the part of Whatsapp (which will come into force on May 15), many users have felt betrayed and have started to turn to competitors, Telegram in the lead. The instant messaging app with the white and light blue icon has begun to implement new features, including the ability to import conversations on WhatsApp. A move that could prove decisive, given that Whatsapp users are reluctant to change their own app not to lose the archive chats with your contacts.

How to export chats from Whatsapp to Telegram – To users Android to export a chat just open WhatsApp, click on one of the contacts, press on the three vertical dots located near the phone icon, select first “Other” and then “Export Chat”, then click on Telegram.

For users Apple the procedure is slightly different: after opening a chat, click on the top where the contact icon is, select “Export Chat” and indicate Telegram as the destination of the conversations and files exchanged.

To transfer WhatsApp chat history to Telegram, you need to have the latest versions of both apps. There’s still no way to import multiple conversations at once, so you’ll have to patiently migrate one chat at a time.
