Starting next Monday, April 20, Telefónica Deutschland will reopen the O2 shops for customers. The network operator announced this on April 17, 2020. The exceptions are the federal states of Bavaria and Thuringia, where the state governments’ orders open a week later. This means that from April 20 in 14 federal states and from April 27 all over Germany personal advice will be available again in the O2 shops at the usual opening times.
Job market
To protect customers and employees, Telefónica Deutschland has equipped the shops with plexiglass panes on the counters and protective masks for all customer advisors. Disinfectants are available at the entrance and in the dispenser; signs and markings on the floor should ensure the necessary distance.
“In times like these, we as the telecommunications industry take on a special responsibility. That’s why we put together attractive offers for our customers when our O2 shops reopened.”said Kai-Uwe Laag, head of Telefónica Germany Retail. The basis for the reopening is the announcement by the federal government on April 15, which allows stores with an area of less than 800 square meters to be opened under certain conditions.
