During a raid in mid-December, 13 kilos of hard drugs were found in a hidden room at the Smartnet phone shop. Packaging materials and a seal bag device were also found.
Halsema wants to restore public order with the closure. The presence of and trade in drugs can lead to insecurity for local residents due to nuisance, rip deals, burglary and the attraction of the building to criminal activities, according to the mayor.
